Paste has hosted a lot of bands at their New York City studio. On Wednesday, Turkuaz officially became the one with the most members to perform at their tiny space at the Manhattan Center. The nine-piece funk act jammed themselves into the music and culture website’s small studio for a live session.
The Brooklyn-based act showcased a three-pack of songs from their catalog opening things up with “The One And Lonely” from their 2018 LP Life In The City. The nonet then offered up the single “Take It Slow,” which was issued as the B-side to “Superstatic,” before closing things out with “X.Y.Z. (Feelin’ Tough)” from their 2014 release Future 86.
