Twiddle continued a spring tour that will end at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado on May 2 with a two-set show at the Casino Ballroom in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire on Saturday night. Included within the setlist of a concert that brought the New England portion of the run to a close were Citizen Cope and Talking Heads covers as well as a take on the theme from HBO series Game Of Thrones.
The Vermont-based jam quartet began the show with “Earth Mama” and then segued from “Latin Tang” into “Indigo Trigger.” Saturday’s “Indigo Trigger” featured the “Game Of Thrones Groove” just one night before the start to the program’s eighth and final season. Next up was Twiddle’s first cover of Citizen Cope’s “Son’s Gonna Rise” since October 20, 2017 as per Phantasy Tour. The frame concluded with classics “Lost In The Cold” and “Be There.” The five-song second set was heavy on jam vehicles including “Hatti’s Jam,” “Gatsby The Great” and “Doinkinbonk!!!”. For the encore, Twiddle performed “Girlfriend Is Better” by Talking Heads for just the third time.
