“The Wilco wheels are turning,” reads a note from the band heralding their first U.S. theater shows since embarking on a hiatus in late-2017. The sextet will play the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville on June 5 and 6.

Wilco’s Knoxville shows are currently slated to be the group’s return to the stage after 18 months off. The band’s last performance took place on November 17, 2017. The hiatus came to allow drummer Glenn Kotche time to spend with his Fulbright scholar wife in Helsinki as per a Rolling Stone interview with frontman Jeff Tweedy. The Knoxville shows will be followed by a European Tour and headlining appearances at their Solid Sound Festival.

Tickets for both nights in Knoxville go up for grabs this Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.
