Railroad Earth welcomed Greensky Bluegrass guitarist Dave Bruzza for a pair of sit-ins on Saturday. The collaborations took place in both the first and second sets of Railroad Earth’s concert at The Vic Theatre.
Matt Slocum played keyboards and Mike Robinson played pedal steel, guitar and banjo with RRE throughout the night. The first set began with “Like A Buddha” and later saw Bruzza making his first appearance on electric guitar for a closing rendition of “Luxury Liner.” Bruzza reemerged during the second half of the second set, coming back onstage to assist a version of “Reuben’s Train.” The band closed the set with “Captain Nowhere” and a combo of “Chasin’ A Rainbow” and “Long Way To Go,” which was followed by “Sing For Me” encore.
