New Orleans Jazz Fest Expands To 8 Days Again In 2020

111

In 2020, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival will host eight days for the second year in a row. Jazz Fest 2020 will span April 23 – May 3 with festival dates at the Fairgrounds scheduled for April 23 – 26 and April 30 – May 3 as per a press release issued by organizers.

The recently-completed 50th annual Jazz Fest brought in approximately 475K festivalgoers over the course of the eight-day event. This year’s edition was the first to include an eighth day, which was originally slated to be headlined by The Rolling Stones and then Fleetwood Mac. Both acts canceled due to health issues leading Widespread Panic to perform on Thursday, May 2.

The 2019 lineup was announced on January 15, so there’s still plenty of time before the 2020 lineup reveal. Head here for a full review of the first weekend of this year’s Jazz Fest and here for more articles on the 50th annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.
