Bruce Hornsby Performs “The Blinding Light Of Dreams” On ‘Live From Here’ [Pro-Shot Video]

On Saturday, three-time Grammy-winner Bruce Hornsby made an appearance on Live from Here with Chris Thile, formerly known as A Prairie Home Companion hosted by Garrison Keillor, at Louisville, KY’s Iroquois Amphitheater.

For his recent performance on the public radio broadcast, Hornsby was joined by members of the Louisville Orchestra and violinist Rob Moose. The ensemble worked through “The Blinding Light Of Dreams”, a tune Hornsby recorded with yMusic for his recently released Absolute Zero LP.

Predominantly produced by Hornsby himself, the new album, Absolute Zero, includes added production from Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), Tony Berg (Phoebe Bridgers, Andrew Bird, Public Image Ltd.) and Brad Cook (Sharon Van Etten, Hiss Golden Messenger). The new album also includes musical contributions from Justin Vernon, yMusic, The Staves, Blake MillsJack DeJohnetteSean CareyThe Orchestra Of St. Hanks (Frost School/University of Miami), Hornsby’s longtime band The Noisemakers, and more. The album also includes “Take You There (Misty)”, a track co-written by Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter, continuing Hornsby’s longtime connection with the jam forefathers.
