Chris Robinson Brotherhood Shares Jay Blakesberg-Directed Video For “Let It Fall” [Watch]

Chris Robinson Brotherhood teamed up with acclaimed rock photographer Jay Blakesberg earlier this year to direct the music video for “Chauffeur’s Daughter”. Blakesberg did such a fine job the first time around that the rock band has brought him into the fold again to direct their latest video for “Let It Fall”, another uptempo rock tune from their new studio album, Servants of the Sun.

The video takes viewers into a lively house party, where members of the band are seen enjoying their time amongst friends and of course, plenty of beautiful women. The exact location of the shoot wasn’t mentioned to go with the video’s arrival on Wednesday, but with the fun mix of candles, cannabis, alcohol, and good tunes, one can appreciate this being the perfect setting for a groovy rock and roll video experience. Watch the entire video below.

“I like to write ‘scenes.’ I want you to be able to storyboard these lyrics into a visual, even the abstract part of them,” Robinson mentioned in a statement to go with the album’s announcement earlier this year, as it certainly relates to the band’s new video. “We’re creating a world and we want people to come in. We’re doing it through language and this texture of music and melody. Sometimes it’s a celebration, sometimes it’s mourning. It can be anything once you get inside.”

Blakesberg also shared his gratitude for being part of the band’s storytelling in a statement shared to his Instagram on Wednesday.

“A few months ago I was asked by the Chris Robinson Brotherhood to direct a few videos for some new songs they were releasing in June. I wrote up my creative treatments, and off we went…The first video came out end of April – That one is called ‘The Chauffeur’s Daughter”. Easy to find in all the usual places… The second video is for a song called ‘Let if Fall”. That video was released today. Once again big thanks to Myles Beeson for DP ing this shoot, Nick Russo for keeping it together on set, and Drew Beeson for the edit!”

Chris Robinson Brotherhood made headlines recently when they canceled tour dates and announced a hiatus following the departure of keyboardist Adam MacDougall. The band will be joined by Joel Robinow as MacDougall’s replacement for their upcoming June performances and a July tour across Europe.
