Mavis Staples was the featured guest on CBS This Morning over the weekend, where the soul and gospel singer offered up a musical performance and interview segment on the show’s “Saturday Sessions” program.

The singer was on the weekend morning show to promote some of the music on her new studio album, We Get By, which arrived late last month on Anti- Records. Staples also recently teamed up with Sheryl Crow and Bonnie Raitt for a collaborative new single titled, “Live Wire”. The three acclaimed musicians performed their new single on Ellen a few days prior.
