Veteran ska/reggae band Toots & The Maytals were in Brooklyn, NY this week for a pair of shows at Brooklyn Bowl as part of their ongoing 2019 spring and summer tour. The band, led by Frederick “Toots” Hibbert, treated their New York fans to two fantastic performances in the more intimate setting of the New York City venue, pulling out material from the outfit’s nearly-60-year-old songbook.

Hibbert appeared to be in good shape and good spirits as he and the band released the feel-good energy of their reggae sound amongst the packed venue on night one of their two-show stint. Dressed in a cutoff vest, black bandana, and sunglasses, Hibbert leg the charge of loose energy and positive vibrations that will echo within the walls of the popular concert venue for weeks to come.
