On Friday night, Trey Anastasio Band continued their four-night run in the Southeast with their first of two performances this weekend at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA. The show was webcast via LivePhish for fans everywhere to enjoy.

After kicking off with a chugging “Set Your Soul Free”, the band continued with “Burn That Bridge” in the second slot for the second straight show. A rocking “Cayman Review” was up next, followed by a run through classic Phish instrumental “Magilla”. Another Phish crossover song, “Everything’s Right”, came next followed by Hands On A Hardbody track, “My Problem Right There”, making its second appearance of this 4-night run after having sat on the shelf since 2011.

The set was rounded out with a lively “Money, Love and Change”, a rare rendition of “Greyhound Rising”, and TAB’s second-ever full-band rendition of funky Phish favorite “Camel Walk”.

After starting set two with “Mozambique” and “Gotta Jibboo”, the band slid into funky TAB vamp “The Way I Feel”. Next, the band surprised the audience with their first cover of Billy Preston‘s “Will It Go Round In Circles” since December 2006. After a well-played “Night Speaks To A Woman”, the band dipped into the Ghosts of the Forest playbook for the first-ever TAB rendition of blues-rock scorcher “About To Run“, one of the strongest songs to come out of the recent TAB/Phish side project (get ready for some monster versions of this song on Phish tour this summer). The set closed from there with “Last Tube”, the second-ever TAB version of Ghosts of the Forest’s “A Life Beyond The Dream”, and a sing-along “Blaze On”.

Finally, Trey Anastasio Band returned for a three-song encore consisting of “Brief Time” (in the same encore-opening slot it occupied for Ghosts of the Forest), “Ether Sunday”, and a celebratory “Push On Til The Day”.
