According to reports, the daring Canadian fan named Chris LaRocque, who nearly caught hypothermia when he attempted to swim his way back into the hard rock show along the shores of Lake Ontario last spring after being kicked out of the venue, now has his image displayed on a Budweiser label.
The Budweiser-sponsored venue celebrates its 25th year of bringing live music to the people of Toronto with a customized label sold on site which features a mix of artst-related imagery. LaRocque was informed that his likeness was used on the beer’s label by a friend who recently attended a Blink 182 performance at Budweiser Stage. The designers behind the venue’s 25th-anniversary label used the photo of LaRocque shared by Anthrax’s Scott Ian on the guitarist’s Instagram following the spring 2018 performance.
“So, I guess I made it on a beer can label,” LaRocque shared in a post of the label featuring his image on Facebook. “I wonder if I can get free beer?”
LaRocque also shared a statement on the new beer label to VICE, saying, “I am honoured to be on it but I am kind of annoyed that originally [they] kicked me out, banned me for a year, then used my image without permission or any sort of notification.”
