According to the announcement on Friday via Allman’s website, the debut solo effort from late Allman Brothers Band guitarist will arrive on August 30th, and will include over two dozen bonus tracks of rarities including unreleased demos, outtakes, alternates, and new mixes.
The album will also be available for fans to purchase on vinyl for the first time ever since it was released in October 1973. In addition to versions of the reissue on either 180-gram black vinyl or limited purple and white marbled color vinyl, fans will also get the chance to purchase the expanded Deluxe Edition on 2CDs or digital as well.
Allman’s 1974 live album, The Gregg Allman Tour, will also be reissued on double vinyl for the first time since 1987. Fans will have the option to purchase the live album on 80-gram black vinyl or 180-gram grey and white marble vinyl.
The deluxe reissue will include covers of The Staple Singers‘ “Will The Circle Be Unbroken,” in addition to a different take on the Allman Brothers’ own “Midnight Rider”. Fans who purchase the digital release of the album reissue will automatically receive a free download of Allman’s unreleased demo covering Jackson Browne‘s “These Days”.
