Jam Cruise 18 has added some special guests including world-renowned guitarist Steve Kimock and singer-songwriter Nicki Bluhm to its 2020 annual voyage.
The 18th-annual event is set to take place on January 7th-12th at the MSC Divina, making stops at Ocean Cay, Bahamas, and Costa Maya, Mexico after embarking from Miami, FL. The five-day, two-port musical voyage lineup will feature sets from The Claypool Lennon Delirium, moe., Galactic, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Lettuce, Lotus, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Turkuaz, Garage a Trois, Dumpstaphunk, Tank and the Bangas, Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass, Keller Williams Solo Set, Electron, Ghost Light, Mihali, The Soul Rebels, Cory Wong, Samantha Fish, Circles Around the Sun, and more.
Attendees will also enjoy an eclectic mix of solo musicians on this year’s voyage, with special guests Charlie Hunter, Ryan Montbleau, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Tom Hamiliton, Steve Poltz, Holly Bowling, Cris Jacobs, and more.
In addition to its expansive musical experience, Jam Cruise has also announced its second theme night, Color War. Attendees will see each deck embrace its own color and battle it out all day for the ultimate color spirit. Voodoo Night is deemed the other theme night, bringing back the spirit and folklore of the Big Easy to the Caribbean with hats, feathers, and voodoo tricks.
Masters Camp At Sea classes will be available as an add-on program, featuring intimate performances, master classes, and artist-hosted jam sessions with Luther Dickinson, Eric Krasno, Nikki Glaspie, Garrett Sayers, George Porter Jr., Charlie Hunter, Ivan Neville, Robert Walter, and Nigel Hall.
Jam Cruise 18 is also taking applications for chefs at sea. Attendees can apply to be a featured chef on this year’s Jam Cruise, cooking up signature dishes aboard. Applications can be found here.
