The new 94-minute documentary about Phish guitarist Trey AnastasioBetween Me & My Mind, is set to hit select movie theaters nationwide for a screening this Wednesday, July 17th, followed by additional showing on July 22nd and 23rd.

In a recently shared clip from the documentary, Anastasio gives a behind-the-scenes look at his (and the band’s) preparation for their historic Bakers Dozen run, where Phish played 13 consecutive shows at New York City’s Madison Square Garden without repeating a single song. Anastasio is seen having a phone conversation with bandmate and drummer Jon Fishman discussing the Phish song “Thread”, a tune which the band debuted at Northerly Island 2017 and recently dusted off last weekend at Fenway Park.

Anastasio explains,

We need songs right now because we’re trying to do this thing called the Baker’s Dozen, where we’re gonna do 13 consecutive nights at Madison Square Garden and we’re going to try to do them without any repeats. So that will probably be about 280 songs. You know, most bands do a similar show every night, so, my head is kind of exploding with the whole thing. It’s exciting.
