Hardly Stricly Bluegrass Announces 3rd Wave Of 2019 Artists: Hot Tuna, The Infamous Stringdusters, More

The long-running Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival has announced its third wave of artists for 2019. Taking place October 4th-6th in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, the free music festival annually hosts over 100 bluegrass and folk acts, both veteran and up and coming.

Celebrating 19 years of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, the third round of 2019 artists includes Hot Tuna, The Infamous Stringdusters, Hiss Golden Messenger, The Long Ryders, Poor Man’s Whiskey, Caitlin Canty, Bedouine, Chuck Prophet & The Mission Express, and Tank & The Bangas. Additionally, Kronos Quartet will offer up a special Pete Seger tribute featuring special guests Brian Carpenter, Lee Knight, Mixlit, Aoife O’Donovan, and the San Francisco Girls Chorus

The newly added artists above join an impressive lineup including the previously announced The Milk Carton KidsCalexico and Iron & WineDakhabrakhaHayes CarllJackie GreeneMeat PuppetsBettye LaVetteMargo PriceSteve Earle, The Waterboys, Dry Branch Fire Squad, Tanya Tucker, Daniel Norgren, Buddy Miller & Dirk Powell with Stuart Duncan, John CraigieHot Buttered RumMdou Moctar’s Tuareg, Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears, Sierra Hull, and Nikki Lane.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass takes place within Golden Gate Park in Hellman HollowLindley Meadow, and Marx Meadow. Entry to the festival opens at 10 a.m. with music starting at noon on Friday and 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
