Norway, Finland and Japan Lead In Clean Energy Innovation

Fossil fuel still supplies around an estimated 80% of the global energy needs, yet in order to ensure successfully reaching goals to slow climate change, nations will need to expand access to clean energy. New research shows that not all countries are performing equally in this fight, with Scandinavian countries and Japan showing the most progress. The top performing country in the world in the field of contributions to global clean energy innovation is Norway, followed closely by Finland and Japan, according to a recent report published by the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, a nonprofit public policy think tank based in Washington, D.C.
