On Tuesday, The Magpie Salute—comprised of The Black Crowes alumni Rich Robinson, Marc Ford, and Sven Pipien along with John Hogg, Joe Magistro, and Matt Slocum—announced a new EP, In Here, set for release on September 6th.

The EP will precede the band’s forthcoming sophomore full-length studio album, High Water II, due out on October 18th. Produced by Rich Robinson, the three-track EP features “Lost Boy”, co-written by Rich and Marc Ford and features Alison Krauss on vocals and fiddle; “Passenger” co-written by Rich and John Hogg; and the Robinson-penned title track. “In Here” and “Lost Boy” are set to appear on the band’s forthcoming studio album.

Recorded and mixed by Sean Genockey, High Water II was recorded during the same sessions that produced the 2018’s High Water I. The material for High Water II was recorded at the U.K.’s Rockfield Studios after wrapping up a run of shows throughout Europe.
