The Latest: Students to miss another day of classes

About 300,000 Chicago Public School students will miss another day of classes as contract talks between striking teachers and city officials fail again. Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot on Tuesday urged the Chicago Teachers Union to accept the city’s $500 million contract offer after she met with union leaders. Going into the delegates’ meeting, union leaders said they would only look at the city’s contract offer, not vote on ending the strike.
