Hot Tuna announced details of their Spring Tour 2020 and Summer Tour 2020. The former will feature support from the David Bromberg Quintet and the latter from the David Grisman Trio.
Hot Tuna, featuring Jefferson Airplane guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and bassist Jack Casady, will be joined by drummer Justin Guip for the spring’s Electric Hot Tuna shows. The spring run with David Bromberg follows two acoustic Hot Tuna performances in Phoenix on February 14 and 15 and an electric evening Solana Beach, California on February 17. Hot Tuna and Bromberg will perform a number of shows together in California, including Los Angeles (February 18), Santa Barbara (February 19), San Francisco (February 21 – 22) and Chico (February 23). The tour continues on February 25 in Salt Lake City and wraps with a pair of shows in Boulder, Colorado on February 28 and 29.
Hot Tuna will present both acoustic duo and electric trio sets with Grisman this summer. That tour begins July 9 in Red Bank, New Jersey. Additional stops include Huntington, New York (July 10), Port Chest, New York (July 11), Great Barrington, Massachusetts (July 13), Boston (July 14), Burlington, Vermont (July 15), Baldwinsville, New York (July 17) and Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania (July 18).
Kaukonen will also perform in May at Dark Star Jubilee in Thornville, Ohio and in September at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Hot Tuna will appear in June at Lockn’ in Arrington, Virginia and have additional dates scheduled in March and July.
