Patti Smith covered Neil Young’s “After The Gold Rush” on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The iconic punk rocker, poet and author also sat for an interview with the show’s host, Jimmy Fallon.
Smith’s performance of “After The Gold Rush” featured accompaniment by Tony Shanahan playing a Wurlitzer electric piano. Smith’s interview with Fallon touched on many topics, including her memoir Year Of The Monkey, response to her Instagram post with actor Keanu Reeves, former Tonight Show host Johnny Carson and fellow rock legend Bob Dylan.
