Pigeons Playing Ping Pong recently stopped by the World Cafe Live in Philadelphia to perform for NPR’s live music video series of the same name. PPPP also shared pro-shot full-show video of their Stop Making Cake Halloween tribute to the music of Talking Heads and Cake in New York City.
For the World Cafe performance on January 17, Pigeons played their 2019 singles “Dawn A New Day” and “King Kong.” Both songs will appear on PPPP’s upcoming album, Presto, which drops tomorrow (January 24).
On November 1, 2019 Pigeons Playing Ping Pong descended on the PlayStation Theater in New York City to deliver night two of their multi-city Halloween run featuring the music of Talking Heads and Cake. The show — where the quartet welcomed The West End Blend Horns — saw PPPP offering up Cake favorites like “Love You Madly and “The Distance” as well as Talking Heads classics including “Crosseyed And Painless,” “Nothing But Flowers” and “Naive Melody.” The band also fit in original staples like “Upfunk, “Julia,” “Ocean Flows” and more.
