The 2020 Mountain Jam Festival will host a tribute in honor of late The Band drummer Levon Helm’s 80th birthday at this year’s event. The celebration comes on Saturday, May 30 during the festival, which will be held at the Bethel Center For The Arts in Bethel, New York May 29 – 31.
Levon Helm’s longtime band, The Midnight Ramble Band will be joined by “very special guests” for the set. Helm’s 80th birthday would have been on May 26. The Turkey Scratch, Arkansas native died of cancer on April 19, 2012. Headliners, the full lineup and ticketing details for Mountain Jam will be announced soon. The Head and the Heart are the only other act confirmed as of press time for this year’s festival.
