Real Estate and Indigo Girls were among the guest performers on last Saturday’s episode of the public radio program Live From Here with host Chris Thile. The episode was simulcast from The Town Hall in New York City and also featured appearances by the Danish String Quartet, Amanda Brown, Ken Burns and Lewis Black.
Real Estate previewed their upcoming new studio album The Main Thing by performing a pair of tracks off the record coming out on February 28. The band played the single “Paper Cup” and fellow album cut “You.”
Indigo Girls also played a song from their upcoming new album, Look Long, which will be their first in five years. The group led by Amy Ray and Emily Saliers performed the debut of the album track “Country Radio.” Thile and Lucy Wainwright Roche also joined the Indigo Girls on their classic “Closer To Fine.” Watch Real Estate and Indigo Girls performing on Live From Here below:
