Umphrey’s McGee will revive their UMBowl football-themed concert in 2020. The band will host UMBowl over two nights at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on May 1 and 2.
On April 24, 2010 the band debuted the innovative UMBowl concept in which they played four “quarters” (ie. sets) each with a different theme as well as “overtime” (ie. an encore). The concert was held each year until 2016 but has been on hiatus ever since.
UMBowl VIII will be different in that the football-themed portion of the concerts will be split into two different shows. It appears Umphrey’s will play two “quarters” on May 1 along with a “regular” set before doing the same on May 2.
