Inmates in a Sri Lanka prison scuffled with guards and some tried to escape during a protest against new strict measures to control the spread of the coronavirus, leaving two dead and six wounded, police said Sunday. Anuradhapura is about 200 kilometers (120 miles) north of Colombo. Sri Lanka has imposed a three-day countrywide curfew since Friday as the number of cases has risen to 77.
