Circles Around the Sun will perform with guitarist Scott Metzger at several newly confirmed April 2020 tour dates. The shows bridge the band’s appearance at the Skull & Roses Festival in Ventura, California and a trio of Bay Area performances.
CATS will follow their Skull & Roses on April 3 with a concert on April 5 in Crystal Bay, Nevada. The band then heads to Chico, California on April 6 and Portland, Oregon on April 7. CATS will also play April 9 in Bend, Oregon. They then head back to California for previously confirmed gigs in San Rafael (Grate Room @ Terrapin Crossroads, April 10), San Francisco (The Independent, April, 11) and Felton (Felton Music Hall April 12).
Keyboardist Adam MacDougall, drummer Mark Levy and bassist Dan Horne have performed with a rotating roster of guitarists in place of co-founding member Neal Casal, who died last year. Metzger briefly toured with the band last year following a stint in the fall by Eric Krasno. Metzger is currently on tour with CATS, with a show scheduled tonight in Boston.
