Goose and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong continued their winter tour on Wednesday night at the Madison Theater in Covington, Kentucky. The bird bands collaborated as PPPP guitarist Jeremy Schon sat-in with Goose.
The evening began with a set from Goose that opened with “Time To Flee” and then saw the band deliver a seamless run of “Indian River” into “Lovely Day” into “Arrow” into “Butter Rum.” Schon emerged towards the end of “Arrow” and stuck around for “Butter Rum” before Goose closed out their performance with “Madhuvan.”

Goose’s Rick Mitarotonda Joins Pigeons Playing Ping Pong In Grand Rapids
Pigeons played two sets and an encore last night that consisted solely of originals except for a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog” that came within “J-Town.” The band’s first set began with the pairings of “Pop Off” and “Funk E Zekiel” and “Burning Up My Time” and “Horizon.” PPPP then closed out the frame with “Lightning,” “Fortress” and “Skipjack.” Last night’s second set started with “Paperboy” and “King Kong” before the “J-Town” segment. After “Move Like That” and “Whoopie,” the quartet worked “Sunny Day” into “The Hop” which led into “F.U.” The band ended the night with a “Yo Soy Fiesta” encore.
