151

While Nathaniel Rateliff postponed his current tour in support of the recently released studio album And It’s Still Alright due to the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak, the singer-songwriter and his band were already set up at Town Hall in New York City on Thursday for the first of two planned shows. Rateliff and company performed four songs at the empty venue which he live streamed and can be viewed below as this week’s Full Show Friday selection.

The singer-songwriter left The Night Sweats behind for the tour and was backed by an ensemble that included a string section. Last night, Nathaniel Rateliff led the group on four tunes from And It’s Still Alright. Up first was “Tonight #2” followed by “All Or Nothing.” Rateliff and his band then performed the title track before ending the unusual set with “Time Stands.”

Here’s a statement from Nathaniel regarding the status of his tour:

We regret to announce that we have decided to postpone the rest of our current tour starting tonight and through Atlanta. We are looking forward to bringing this new show back out as soon as possible. We love our fans. Please take care of yourself and all those around you.

We will be back in New York City at The Town Hall November 18 & 19. We will be back in Washington at The Anthem July 31. Shortly, we will announce the new dates for Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Nashville and Atlanta. All tickets will be honored for those dates.

We are monitoring Los Angeles and San Francisco and will be back in touch on that.

We love you.
