The Tedeschi Trucks Band launched the Swamp Family TV series of archival videos on Thursday night. Up first was pro-shot full show video of the 12-piece’s July 26, 2019 concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.
Guitarist Derek Trucks noted the series of free rebroadcasts will continue each Thursday as part of a recent interview. The TTB’s July 26 performance at Red Rocks was the first night of a two-night stand at the scenic venue that came during the 2019 Wheels Of Soul tour. Blackberry Smoke, who along with Shovels & Rope opened each night of the tour, joined the Tedeschi Trucks Band for the “Space Captain” finale. Other highlights included a beautiful rendition of Willie Nelson’s “Somebody Pick Up My Pieces,” an ethereal “Swamp Raga” into “Midnight In Harlem” sequence and an extended “I Want More.”
