The Black Crowes’ Chris & Rich Robinson Perform At Love Rocks NYC: Pro-Shot Videos

167

Chris Robinson and Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes were the last featured guests to perform at Thursday’s Love Rocks NYC event at The Beacon Theatre in New York City, an all-star benefit that raised over $3 million for God’s Love We Deliver. Video featuring the three songs the Robinson Brothers performed with legendary keyboardist Ivan Neville and the event’s talented house band have been shared.

The Chris and Rich-led renditions of “Jealous Again,” “She Talks To Angels” and “Hard To Handle” came after performances from the likes of Dave Matthews, Macy Gray, Jackson Browne, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Warren Haynes and Cyndi Lauper. Love Rocks NYC was held in front of a crowd limited to staff, family members, performers and media.

“This was literally the last concert to happen in NYC and likely across the country for quite some time,” Love Rocks NYC co-executive producer Greg Williamson explained to Rolling Stone. “We got ahead of it and were nimble enough at the very last minute to make this happen with a restricted audience and livestream. It also might be a model for shows to happen in the near future, while artists, venues and promoters navigate through this surreal time and until large gatherings are safe.”

The Late Show With David Letterman bassist Will Lee served as musical director just as he did at the first three Love Rocks NYC benefits. Lee was joined by guitarist Eric Krasno, multi-instrumentalist Larry Campbell, drummers Steve Gadd and Shawn Pelton as well as keyboardists Ricky Peterson and Jeff Young to form the evening’s house band. In addition, a six-piece horn section and six-piece grouping of backing vocalists performed on select songs.
