The Broadcast Shares ‘Fighting The Feeling’ Video

119

The Broadcast previewed their forthcoming Lost My Sight album by sharing the video for the LP’s “Fighting The Feeling.” Former Tedeschi Trucks Band and current The Black Crowes bassist Tim Lefebvre co-produced Lost My Sight, which is due out on May 1, with TTB drummer Tyler Greenwell.

Consisting of vocalist Caitlin Krisko, guitarist Aaron Austin, keyboardist Mike Runyon, bassist William Seymour, drummer Michael W. Davis and percussionist Tyler Housholder, The Broadcast is based in Asheville, North Carolina. The band picked the release date long before the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, yet the song hits home during these extremely unusual times.

Check out a statement from The Broadcast about their new song:

The video for ‘Fighting the Feeling’ depicts common fears – snakes, heights, taking tests, public speaking, even death. When we made it, we had no way of knowing just how timely and topical the video would be. We originally chose to make the video about fear because we wanted to be able to relate to viewers on a very base level. When we wrote the song, it wasn’t necessarily specifically about fear only, but as we performed the song out on the road, it started to form itself into a deeper meaning for us that was centered around the concept of fear. There’s really only two places that we act from: fear and love. This song is about ‘fighting the feeling’ of falling into the anxiety and fear we all struggle with every day. Hopefully it can now serve as a bit of an upbeat rallying cry for everyone during these difficult times, motivating people to conquer their overwhelming fear and anxiety. If nothing else, I hope it gives people a reason to pause for a few minutes to dance around their homes.
