The Relix Channel will rebroadcast the recent all-star homage to B.B. King, The Thrill Is Gone: A Tribute to B.B. King, which took place at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on February 16. The livestream replay will go down on Friday, March 20 at 8 p.m. ET.
The show featured some of the finest musicians in the word channeling King including Bob Margolin, Bobby Rush, Buddy Guy, Christone “KINGFISH” Ingram, David Hidalgo, Derek Trucks, Ivan Neville, Jimmie Vaughan, John Scofield, Little Steven, Robert Randolph, Shemekia Copeland, Susan Tedeschi, Tony “TC” Coleman, Val B. King (granddaughter of B.B. King), Warren Haynes and William Bell.
The concert also boasted an ace house band with Grammy-winning producer Steve Jordan (John Mayer, Boz Scaggs, Keith Richards), esteemed session bassist Pino Palladino (John Mayer, The Who, D’Angelo), renowned organist Rev Charles Hodges (Al Green, Willie Mitchell), Isaiah Sharkey (John Mayer, D’Angelo) and more.
