The Relix Channel will present the Wayback Wednesday free livestreams today, Wednesday, March 25 starting at 6 p.m. ET. Included within are free broadcasts of The Best of The Jammys, Vol. 1 & 2 featuring performances from Trey Anastasio, John Mayer, Les Claypool and more filmed at the Jammys award shows.
Impresario Peter Shapiro and Jambands author Dean Budnick started the Jammys award ceremony/concert in 2000 to showcase the best of the jam and improvisation worlds and six additional installments were held through 2008. Wayback Wednesday begins at 6 p.m. ET with a live Q&A hosted by Budnick and Jonathan Healey. Then, The Relix Channel will broadcast The Best of The Jammys, Vol. 1 at approximately 6:20 p.m. ET, which will be followed by another live Q&A with Budnick and Healey before an airing of the documentary Wetlands Preserved: The Story of An Activist Nightclub profiling the famed New York City nightclub.
