Amanda Shires, Jason Isbell and Seth Plemmons performed a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Everyone Knows” as part of Sunday’s installment of I So Lounging. The daily livestream series also features Kelly Garcia Plemmons interacting with fans and feeding questions to the trio and of course, Zeyk (the dog).
All three musicians provided answers to questions submitted to fans at the start of Sunday’s session. The trio’s first song of I So Lounging Episode 17 was a take on Loudon Wainwright III’s “Daughter” sung by Shires. More banter followed before Amanda, Jason and Seth performed “Everyone Knows.” Leonard Cohen originally released “Everyone Knows” on 1988’s I’m Your Man.
Jason Isbell & The 400 Unit member guitarist and solo artist Sadler Vaden then appeared as a special guest via a phone call. Next, Shires led the troupe on “Look Like A Bird” from her 2013 studio album, Down Fell The Doves. Finally, Zeyk has his turn in the spotlight as the musicians ended the episode with the made-up-on-the-spot “Zeyk’s Blues.” Watch last night’s I So Lounging below:
