Big Something Shares ‘Timebomb’ Single

132

Big Something released a new single, “Timebomb.” The track will appear on the North Carolina-based band’s forthcoming album, Escape, due out later this year.

The new tune follows Big Something’s previously released singles “The Breakers” and “Heavy,” the latter of which arrived back in January when the world was a different place. “We originally had no idea we would be releasing this song [‘Timebomb’] during a global pandemic,” lead singer and guitarist Nick MacDaniels said in a statement. “But now here we are dropping a dance track for the apocalypse a la Prince’s ‘1999’ during a quarantine and world-wide shutdown with no clear end in sight.”

“I think most of us know we’re going to get through this, but it’s a scary time for a lot of people and it really can start to feel apocalyptic,” MacDaniels continued. “We originally wrote this song thinking it would just be a fun dance track for our live show, but now the lyrics have kind of come to life in a crazy way.”
