Little Village Foundation Artists Share ‘Hard Times Come Around No More’ Collaborative Video

125

Non-profit record company Little Village Foundation shared a collaborative quarantine video. The visual features a number of Little Village Foundation artists performing the timeless Steven Foster tune, “Hard Times Come Around No More.”

Founded by renowned musician Jim Pugh, Little Village Foundation records and disseminates the music of artists whose work may have escaped the commercial radar. LVF enlisted the help of Kid Andersen to produce the new video. Andersen posted a note along with the visual.

Read it below:

With the outbreak of the COVID 19 Virus and the “Shelter In place” order, live music shows and large recording sessions have come to a stop for the time being. But we at the Little Village Foundation don’t let that stop us from making music and spreading the message of our diverse community. The music and video here were all recorded by the individual artists at their place of shelter, and compiled by me, Kid Andersen at Greaseland Studios.
We bring you a message of hope, love and fellowship for the future, through these hard times we are now facing.

Artists appearing are Derrick D’Mar Martin, Jerry Jemmott, Maurice Tani, Aireene Espiritu, Lisa Leuschner Andersen, Marcel Smith, Marina Crouse, Whitney Shay, The Sons Of The Soul Revivers (Dwayne, James and Walter Morgan), Mary Flower, Peter Damman, Wee Willie Walker, Ron Thompson, Chris Cain, Rick Estrin, Aki Kumar, Skip The Needle (Vicki Randle, Katie Cash, Shelley Doty, Kofy Brown), Mike Duke, John Blues Boyd, Kevin Burt, Mariachi Mestizo, Sean Wheeler, Joe Kyle Jr and Pete Devine of Howell Devine, Casey Van Beek, Betty Reid Soskin, Saida Dahir and LVF founder Jim Pugh.
