Lukas Nelson shared a cover of John Prine’s “Hello In There” as his Quarantunes Evening Session song on Thursday. John Prine is currently hospitalized in the ICU battling the coronavirus COVID-19.
“John Prine is sick and my way of praying is playing,” explained Nelson. “I really hope that he gets better and I’m praying that he gets better.” Lukas then went on to perform “Hello In There,” a song featured on John Prine’s self-titled 1971 debut studio album. Watch Nelson’s version below:
