Stephen Malkmus played a solo version of Pavement‘s “Spit On A Stranger” for the A Take Away Show video series. Malkmus’ performance was filmed at La Fontaine de Belleville, a cafe in Paris.
“Spit On A Stranger” was penned by Malkmus for inclusion on the 1999 Pavement album Terror Twilight. The Nigel Godrich-produced record still stands as the final Pavement LP. Stephen Malkmus and Pavement announced their breakup the following year. Pavement reunited for a series of concerts in 2010 and are expected to return to the stage at Primavera Sound festivals in Barcelona and Porto this August and September, respectively.
