Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio previewed a new composition entitled “The Silver Light.” Anastasio shared a video on Instagram featuring a demo of the track which he had intended to record with the Trey Anastasio Band in mid-March before the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic scrapped those plans.
In the video, Trey is playing percussion using a table, a bottle of Purell hand sanitizer and two rolls of toilet paper. Anastasio wrote a note the accompanies the clip. The guitarist discusses his thoughts of the medical workers who have been on the frontlines during the pandemic and sends wishes to a friend at a hospital and a member of the Phish community who is about to face some rough times.

The Silver Light isn’t officially a new song. TAB was booked to record it for an album starting Mid March. Sadly, we had to cancel, so here is an acoustic guitar, mouth drum, Toilet Paper and Purell version. New School quarantine style, making music from TP and Purell!
