Bob Weir will participate in the next Shakedown Stream pre-show on Friday, May 8 beginning at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. The Grateful Dead guitarist will virtually join GD archivist David Lemieux and historian Gary Lambert ahead of a screening of the July 2, 1989 show at Sullivan Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
The ‘89 Foxboro show hit theaters in 2016 for the Grateful Dead’s Meet Up At The Movies series and was not officially released before that year. Ahead of the 2016 screening, GD shared video of “He’s Gone” and “Tennessee Jed” and the show also contains a monster “Dear Mr. Fantasy” into “Hey Jude Reprise” led by keyboardist Brent Mydland.
