The back end of 2020 was supposed to see Tame Impala perform a huge nationwide tour but, unsurprisingly, Kevin Parker and co. have once again been forced to reschedule to the coronavirus pandemic.
After it was set to go ahead around the country through December of this year, it will now go ahead through December of next year instead.
This marks the second time this tour has been postponed, after it was originally pushed back from April this year as the country went into lockdown.
Despite the pandemic, it’s been a big year for the band. Following the release of The Slow Rush – one of 2020’s best albums thus far – they made their debut on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert. In addition, they unveiled a staggering amount of remixes, including a Blood Orange rework of ‘Borderline’.
Tickets for the April and December 2020 shows that have already been purchased will remain valid for the corresponding dates.
