Freekbass & The Bump Assembly shared a new single, “Under Krameria,” via Color Red. The label’s Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds produced the track at Color Red Studios in Denver.
The new instrumental track features Freekbass, the nom de plume of bassist Chris Sherman, keyboardist Sky White and drummer Rico Lewis. The song “carries an early Funkadelic swagger as it makes heads bob and seamlessly shifts through sections,” as per a statement. The band named the song on the fly as they drove through Denver “Under Krameria,” a main thoroughfare in the Mile High City. “This happenstance sign is simpatico with the song’s organic nature,” the statement continued, “and the perfect soundtrack for strutting down the street.”
Freekbass’ “Under Krameria” arrived with an accompanying music video directed by Angie Wilson and featuring Sammi Garett of Turkuaz and The Bump Assembly. Watch it below:
