In news that should come with a FOMO trigger warning for Aussie heavy music fans, Megadeath, Descendents, Boston Manor and Northlane have been added to an already stacked Download Festival UK 2021.

Announced today via a spooky season video as part of a whopping 17 additions, they join the likes of Kiss, System of a Down, Biffy Clyro, A Day to Remember, Deftones, Gojira and HEAPS more.

Following the cancellation of the IRL Download Festival for 2020, the UK’s premier rock festival has stepped it up for 2021, with a line-up that reads like a defiant middle finger salute to 2020. Seriously, the fine print alone is enough to make most festivals blush!

Set to take place at metal’s spiritual home of Donnington Park, 4-6 June, Download Festival 2021 promises to be an all-time rager. Tickets are on sale now via the festival website. So fetch your passport, get those flight tickets sorted and then cross every digit in hope for a vaccine. This is one pit that needs to be activated in person!

Music festival-starved fans of Australia be warned though, watching this will bring back ALL of the bad thoughts brought on by the cancellation of the Download Festival Australia in March. ‘The Black Parade’ wasn’t to be, but with COVID-19 numbers on the decline and overseas festivals moving ahead, maybe just maybe this is the sign of Download Festival to come.
