Nicki Bluhm Asks “Where Do The Children Play?” At Democracy Comes Alive [Watch]

On Saturday, October 3rd, celebrated singer Nicki Bluhm took part in Democracy Comes Alive, a one-day, nonpartisan virtual music festival aimed at channeling the power of music to make a critical impact on civic engagement in this November’s elections and beyond.

For her one-song set, Bluhm covered the always-relevant Cat Stevens song “Where Do The Children Play?” Her performance displayed some serious production quality and resembled that of a full-fledged music video. As Bluhm sings out to the rocks and the trees, she strums an acoustic guitar with light accompaniment from unseen background vocals and a sparing xylophone.

Relive Nicki Bluhm’s performance of Cat Stevens’ “Where Do The Children Play?” at Democracy Comes Alive in the video below. If you enjoyed the performance and have the means, consider making a donation to HeadCount and the Democracy Comes Alive artists here.
