Tame Impala mastermind Kevin Parker shared video of John Lennon’s “Jealous Guy.” The cover came on what would have been Lennon’s 80th birthday.
“Jealous Guy” appears on John Lennon’s landmark 1971 solo album, Imagine. For John’s 80th birthday, Sean Lennon shared a cover of his dad’s song “Isolation” and invited others to share Lennon tunes with #gimmesometruth.
So Kevin Parker took up the invite. Usually, a piano-driven number, Parker performed “Jealous Guy” on guitar, and, appropriately enough, in bed — recalling John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s iconic “Bed-Ins For Peace.”
