Brittany Howard served as the musical guest on Tuesday’s A Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The Alabama Shakes frontwoman, who earned six 2021 Grammy nominations, led her solo band through a soulful cover of the Beatles’ “Revolution.”
Howard completely reworked “Revolution,” a song the Fab Four originally released on The White Album in 1968, in the style of Nina Simone. Brittany showed off her magnetic stage presence as she belted out the lyrics with power and swagger. Her talented band toyed with tempos throughout the cover.
