Mike Campbell and The Dirty Knobs performed Tom Petty’s “Refugee.” The band led by the Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers guitarist delivered the cover during an in-studio appearance for SiriusXM’s Tom Petty Radio.
“Refugee” — a co-write between Petty and Campbell — appears on Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers’ 1979 album, Damn The Torpedoes. The SiriusXM play saw Campbell leading the band through a stripped-down performance of the Heartbreakers classic.
