Episode 72 of The JamBase Podcast, a partner of the Osiris Media Network, features an interview with Afie Jurvanen, the Canadian musician who records and performs under the Bahamas moniker. JamBase’s Scott Bernstein engaged in a wide-ranging chat with Afie remotely via a Zoom call just days before the recent release of the latest Bahamas album, Sad Hunk.
Jurvanen and his family live in Nova Scotia, so they’ve had a different experience during the pandemic than many stateside and in more landlocked regions. Afie explained how life has been for him since the outbreak began and detailed a typical day for the Jurvanen family. The pair also discussed the witty and engaging Bahamas Instagram feed, including the work that goes into creating the content.

Jurvanen went on to tell Scotty about the process of recording the album and how he selected the musicians who participated in the process.
