Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio shared official video of “Drift While You’re Sleeping” from his latest The Beacon Jams livestream concert at The Beacon Theatre in New York City. Friday’s show featured the return of Ghosts Of The Forest, a project that embarked on a lone tour in April 2019.
Ghosts Of The Forest consists of Trey, Phish drummer Jon Fishman, longtime Trey Anastasio Band members vocalist Jennifer Hartswick, bassist Tony Markellis and keyboardist Ray Paczkowski as well as Broadway performer Celisse. The band was joined by vocalist Jo Lampert for the entire set on Friday with an expanded version of the Rescue Squad Strings contributing to portions of the show.
“Drift While You’re Sleeping” is the second song on both the Ghosts Of The Forest studio album and the 21-song suite the band performed during the April 2019 tour and this past Friday night. Phish debuted their version of “Drift While You’re Sleeping” on June 11, 2019 in St. Louis. The song has been a staple of the quartet’s repertoire ever since.
