Billy Strings Performs ‘Ralph’s Banjo Special’ For ‘String The Halls’

Billy Strings is nearing the finish line of his String The Halls: Home For The Holidays Edition video series. Today’s clip features Billy and his band performing the instrumental “Ralph’s Banjo Special.”

Fittingly, banjoist Billy Failing stars in the video for a Stanley Brothers song also referred to as “Daybreak In Dixie.” Strings’ band also includes bassist Royal Masat and mandolinist Jarrod Walker. The 10th video in the series finds the quartet continuing to focus on bluegrass oldies. Billy Strings debuted their version of “Ralph’s Banjo Special” on December 14, 2019 in Denver as per Phantasy Tour.

There’s just two more installments of String The Halls: Home For The Holidays Edition left as the series ends on Friday, Christmas Day. Posters and mini-prints in celebration of String The Halls are on sale via Half Hazard Press with the password revealed in the video. All proceeds from the series will go towards Nashville Rescue Mission, Musically Fed and Second Harvest Food Bank Of Middle Tennessee.
